092 - Games Without Frontiers
Monday, November 26th, 2007EDIT - Dec 8, 2007: Rich and I have discussed things at length about how to handle Entre Nous in the future, and we've come to a decision. I was going to hold off on this until Christmas or New Year's and make it a surprise, but I'm worried that by then everyone will have given up.
Okay, to skip the bulk of the details: Entre Nous will return in mid-January or early February as a weekly. We love the characters too much to abandon them. And we didn't realize how much you guys loved them too. The return will see a few shifts, which I'll explain on Christmas (check here for a bonus bit of art and the details!). But as a weekly, we feel we can keep EN going indefinitely.
Also! Rich has finished scanning, repairing, and rendering all 92 strips into print-ready TIFFs for me. I'll begin laying out the book in a week when his package arrives. Expect the first collection right around the time we return to regular posting!
Thank you all again for your support and your disappointment at the strip's ending. It means a lot to us.
ORIGINAL POST:
And you thought Dallas and Li would…? You've got a dirty mind!
And there you have it, folks. 092. Ninety-two. In the flesh. Err, fur. Err, phosphers. Well, only if you're using a CRT. Heck, you could be reading this strip as part of an E-Ink-tuned E-Reader-ready collection or something else extravagant that I can't promise you yet. The last strip of the first run.
I should probably send an e-mail out to the faithful and tell them we've put this strip up.
Happy Holidays!
~Matt
PS: I want to add, this isn't a return per se; this is more like a late ending. 092 was supposed to come out last month at this time, on the 1st anniversary of the strip. We're still going to be away for a while before we (eventually) come back for real in some other capacity (which Rich an I plan to discuss in person this weekend, in depth, etc., etc.). I do want to say I'm gratified by the positive reactions to 092, though.
And don't worry muh about the prose pieces; except for Leona's Story, they're kind of throw-away. My version of a Shirt-Guy Dom strip. Only in words instead of stick figures. And aren't we all glad for that.

Glad to see y’all come back. I missed the comical goodness and some other two-to-three-word phrases with words having at least 3 syllables.
What a way to bring it back with a double-sized strip.
I do admit, you had me going with Dallas and Li… Now, if you excuse me, I’m off to re-re-re-re-read (there’s about 6 re’s missing somewhere in the back of my brain) the prose pieces.

I am sorely distressed to find such a well-defined piece of art-work being put to the side. As ColdRain said,”did the artist forget about us???” Damn, fellas, do you know how well you had it going? You were replacing , or filling, a void , many of others doing the same, but after many years,.. who knows. But your fandom sorta loved your progress Guess I should go “quiet”,but YOU presented such a GOOD presentation. I cry, and wish that in the future,I may be somewhere near your presentation………………………….damn, guys, it was looking good. pls think of doing it again!!
