053 - Genius
Monday, May 21st, 2007Vote to see Comic #053.5, in which Mike says something to make Dallas look like our vote button!
I can't remember who said it (it wasn't me, unfortunately), so I'm paraphrasing: "They say a writer has to think of his or her work as the greatest piece of genius ever recorded to paper, and also the worst pile of tripe ever foisted upon the world. They also say holding two contradictory opinions simultaneously is a sign of madness. Such is how it is for the writer."
I just got home from a stimulating night of theatre, watching my friend Patrick Wohlmut tear it up as a cold and calculating prison guard in a near-future sci-fi play put on by a tiny company a few blocks from my house. Absolutely brilliant stuff. "I read that spiders date." One of the best lines in the play… I guess you had to be there.
