Leona’s Story - Part 3
Monday, March 12th, 2007While sports have played, at various points in the story's development, large and small roles in the comic, music has played pretty much no part at all. This is pretty odd, considering Rich and I both are music dorks of varying degrees (Rich is a little bit of a music dork; I am the Lard Of Dorkness). We've posted before about music as it relates to the comic, but really it has been outside the comic that music gets discussed. I think that might change a little in the future. Well-rounded characters have tastes, favorites, moments where they listen to music. I want to find those moments, and feature one.
This is, of course, mostly a reflection of my own obsession with music, a justification of having thousands of songs over hundreds of albums (most of which I have on CD). Nobody in the comic will monologue about the superior quality of the Mobile Sound Fidelity Labs master of Yes's Fragile versus the initial Atlantic and later Rhino remasters. You're welcome. Nor will you see annoying sing-a-longs or songficking. But, sonner or later, a song will creep in. Music will creep in. It's simply inevitable.

I can see Becky rockin' out to They Might be Giants. (The sun is a mass of incandescent gas~)
