036 - Goodbye
Thursday, March 1st, 2007It breaks my heart that Leona's best moment is her last in the story. The melancholy in her look is something that got to me for several days after Rich turned in 036. A lot of her motivation will make more sense after the story is posted; it was something we had to get done in the comic, but had written out in character studies and notes.

The Sunday format is for special occassions, to be sure; I’d originally planned this as four normal strips, but Rich very kindly offered to do two big Sunday format strips. That’s why he’s getting a week off. Or rather, got a week off a couple of weeks ago. We’re already into the 40’s now, working on keeping an eight-strip lead on our website.
