Li’s not the most sympathetic ear, but she’s probably got a point.

Holidays are nearly over; there’s only one drunken party left to attend. I have several memories of varying haziness regarding New Year’s, but this year, it’ll be a small affair. One that involves turkey. Unusual for the holiday, since turkey leftovers are usually gone and the idea of “cooking another turkey” is often the farthest from people’s minds. However, this will be our first turkey ever cooked. We’re quite excited about it, actually. The Alton Brown method will be employed, and I believe there may be knives involved at some point near the end, before the eating. To be sure, I’ve never seen turkey before it was carved. But then again, I am rather unworldly, all told.

An adventure awaits.
